GOAL: The goal of this project was to develop an Information Poster based off of something experienced by our aging population. This poster was showcased at the Kerby Centre in Calgary which is an organizations that “offers activities, programs, and services designed specifically for seniors and their families”.
STRATEGY: For this project I worked on the topic of “Depression in Seniors” as my research progressed I quickly became attached to the topic of depression rates of senior in long term care facilities. After conducting my research on this topic I was faced with the task of displaying this information in a way that is easy to interpret as well as enticing for people to interact with at the showcase. I landed on a relatively simple colour scheme and aimed to have large graphical elements as a focal point to visually display the information without the user needing to do too much reading.
