GOAL: Develop materials to help West Jet train new Instructional Designers that will work to smooth and unify the on-boarding process.
STRATEGY: I worked with two other colleagues to develop three different workshops that focused on different aspects of being an instructional designer. The instructional design workshops would be for new hires to attend in order to ensure that West Jet’s new hires have the same base level knowledge when starting at their position at West Jet. The workshops were based off of the broad topics of information architecture, facilitation, and different learning theories. Each workshop also included an activity and test so they would be able to quantify the success of a new hire’s completion of the workshop.
